As for the fittings, when we moved into our second to last house they had taken everything including the ends off the television aerials and the turf from the garden. Can you believe it? We couldn’t but as “grass” hadn’t been specifically mentioned anywhere apparently there was nothing we could do! This time the estate agent thought we were mad when we made specific enquiries about turf but we weren’t getting caught like that again!

So it seems best to aim for quick straightforward no messing, and hopefully buy the same way [another reason to forget the house that wont let us view], rather than lose money on 2 lots of removal men, and rent if we can possibly help it. Though since it sold quicker than in my dreams, I do think perhaps I should have gone up another 2000!! Still below one down road and inclusive of fittings price. Too late now, and who can predict house sales??

We pulled out on principle. (Then gave in two weeks later when we couldn’t find anything better and realised that we *really* wanted *this* house which was still up for grabs.)
