Whether that is becuase they had spent all that time thinking about it, had been out earlier, or on of them had been out and had had to wait toconsider it together or something else we don’t know. Seeing as it wasn’t rejected out of hand, nor accpeted straight away I guess the offer falls somewhere between ‘not enough’ and ‘maybe just about enough’.
