ROFL at the telling the bloke he’ll die from smoking (surely only about 50% likely to die from it?) and would love to know what he said to your parents :)

Went out a couple times with one bloke when I was young, and the first time he came to pick me up from my house, my dad opened the door, stuck out his hand, and said “Hello, I’m Alison’s dad”, and Paul (if that was his name!) ignored the hand and said “Good for you”! Could kind of tell then he might not be The One …
