I'm feeling guilty about leaving Isabelle in her seat or lying on a chair for ages as well. It's difficult spreading your attentions between two. If you figure it out perfectly, let me know!
And happy birthday to everyone. We have Daddy and daughter adjacent birthdays in June!

Happy Birthday SB!
(Thought I had wished Chris a Happy Birthday yesterday, but I must have not sent my comment or something, so Happy Birthday for yesterday Chris, hope you had a good day :) )

As for BB - just be grateful :) If she's happy on your lap or with her gym, then she's happy. Tilda and Lijah were very very laidback babies - and don't worry, they demand plenty of attention now, lol!

back to say happy birthday to SB today!

I am amazed how much you've been blogging and commenting since Melrose, Helen, it's really funny! I imagine your worries are entirely natural, and you're trying to do at least three of those 'ten most stressful things in life' all at the same time, aren't you. Sounds like you do have things well thought out though, despite all the worries, so I hope you can relax into it and enjoy it all ...

SB - sounds like a great day and lol at birthday card shenanigans!
BB - probably the biggest worry for all parents of second or subsequent children, compounded more when you HE. I used to worry loads about Scarlett holding Davies back or him preventing her from getting all that precious early years one to one that he got. Somehow it just works itself out. S was a far easier baby than D - possibly because she just had to be - there was no way I could have sat cuddling her all day every day like I had with him when I had a toddler to attend to as well, or maybe she just reacted to the more relaxed mother that I was second time round. Now I actually credit S as the best thing that ever happened to D - yes there are times when she gets in the way of stuff (hence our 100EL being done at bedtime) but offset against the value of being in a family with another child to play with and interact with it means nothing. For S she is very good at getting the one to one when she needs it, she often sneaks off when he is occupied and comes to find me with a book or a jigsaw or something which we enjoy doing together quietly.
I know I have a smaller age gap than you (2y3m) but now we have gotten to this stage of toddler and small boy they are inseperable - I leave them to it to play most days for hours - the older they get the smaller the age gap seems and I don't think it will be long before we can be doing projects together on the same subject but with slightly different tasks age appropriate to them - eg vikings - D would maybe do an illustrated piece of writing about it while S could be colouring in a picture. I don't think I'd want any more than two but I do think it is often easier to have more than one as they do keep each other occupied. I think you answered this one when you said what their needs were - they are being met simultaneously by you doing stuff with SB while BB sits on your lap observing.
YOU - sounds like you have a plan :-)
CHRIS - Happy Birthday :-)
