Joanna – it’s a million times more statisfying to do it yourself, and I’m sure the kids appreciate it more. and a ‘side view Thomas’ is fairly easy really,

I make mean cakes, but I’m no good at icing them, so they end up very worthy cakes, with a sprinkle of icing sugar snow on top as a concession to a party.

In one sense it seems a bit of waste of time to spend ages doing a cake which we demolished in no time. But in a way that is the point i think. I can still remember some cakes made for me when I was a boy Tht you are willing to put the effort on, for what is such a trasnient pleasure says much about how much you care about someone.
