well I’m impressed, found a library, did shopping, ‘came out’ about HE, made a potential new friend and sorted out childcare

I know just what you mean about being able to finally relax – we were like that for the 5 months before we finally came home last year – we knew we were coming home but we had to wait for our tenancy to run out on the house we were renting and for our tennants in our house to move out too – just a period of total limbo with loads still to do but too soon to start doing it.

Sounds like it won’t be too long at all before it all feels like home and you settle into your new lives.
