Billing sounds nice, but looking at their prices we would have to bargain hard for a discount.

I’m also v easy where we go, and looking forward to seeing a really huge list of ideas that we can put positives and negatives against, and enquire about possibilities.

I am looking to find a june or earlly september venue for a group of up to 40 families with children aging from 0-12 years old [main cluster being 4-8]

do you have pitches for tents or caravans, or just caravans? We would stay for a weeks holiday.
I presume there are wash facilites etc.
Also if camping, does this include free access to the park, and then just rides to pay for??

Hi from Wicksteed, hope you have received the brochure i sent . You will see that the park is perfect for young children.
We could accommodate that number on both dates you have suggested and our pitches are for either tents or caravans. You would have free access to the park and rides are accessed either by wristbands or tickets, that information is in the brochure
We do not have any showers I am afaid, although we have a large toilet block with multiple wash hand basins.

I’m also not a themparker joyce – so will be back and camera holder!!!!
I actually emailed the wicksteed place and they were really enthusiastic [amazingly so!] and up for it, with daily entry included in camping fee – ?10 per night.
However, they don’t have statics [at the moment, as are considering] and they don’t have showers – just toilets and sinks.
So although I think great otherwise, possibly not this year, or at least not unless they get some statics and showers!!

How about Billing Aquadrome? I know for definite they have statics, and huge areas for hookups and tents and caravans. Shall send this to MP list right away! (before the brainwave fizzles out)

I’m not fussed either. we did AA last year as Barbara mentioned, it was ok, not huge amounts for really littlies. probably will be better now for mine though.

Thinking more about this- as I’m not a big theme park fiend myself, to be honest, it would be lovely for Hannah to go with a big group, so she gets a chance to do these things with other people. I’d be up for a theme park visit on that basis alone.

Yep, motorways is what matters to me – nothing is THAT near us, but a motorway to within 25 miles makes it all so much more bearable. I just do wish other people wouldn’t clutter them up with their gas guzzling polluters

Last September AA did a home ed day where it was only 99p to get in (and still free for tinies). Don’t think it’s hapening again this year, but maybe we should find out if it’s on the cards for next year…
