if only……..
I spend 1500 a year on subscriptions [you get 50-75% off tax]
about another 3000 – 4000 on courses [hospital pays first 700], and they are compulsary for evidence of continuing professioanl development [as Tammy's M will verify!]

Chris, do you not have any professional subscritpions etc to claim for? i have usually had a 300-600 pound rebate yearly – which is what makes it worth doing, as I obviously PAYE. this year the leeds taxman said there was no need for me to fil one out as they had adjustd my personal tax code accordingly, but due to mat leave etc, I reckon I am owed some back again. So although huge chore, si usually worthwhile!

I hate tax returns with a vengence that boarders on holy! But to be fair I got a rebate on the strenght of my last one so it wasn’t all bad!
