Sounds like a nice day :) I think half the fun of those kitchen science experiments is not bothering too much about the theory and just having fun enjoying something that’s called science – there’s plenty of time to learn the theory later (although I agree that the bumph *should* explain it to the adults at least, as I’ve forgotten all the chemistry I ever learned in school! Our young scientists kits do explain on adult level thankfully!)
