Just read the last bit about the news and although I don't know what area you work in, and I hope everything goes well for you, I have an appeal going through our PCT for an op that both my GP and the consultant I was referred to says is necessary (large ganglion on top of foot - very uncomfortable to wear shoes. Don't drop cans of baked beans on your foot!), yet the PCT have refused all ganglion removals. My GP has told me I will probably need to find the money to pay to have it removed, which makes me pretty unhappy. There is indeed a two-tier health system.

If anyone is willing to help find and share Latin tutoring - I would be interested. I have a 6 year old daughter. There do not seem to be any Latin tutors in Hitchin but maybe there are in the Cambridge area. I would be prepared to travel. Maybe a student from the university who wants to earn a bit extra? I think, for my daughter, it is easier and more fun to learn langages with others.
