Ooh, ooh, coming out of lurkdom to take part, then...

1. I don?t ?do? clothes either, Helen. I?ve just looked it up (actually, that?s probably quite weird? the extent to which I track and manage our finances) and in the last 18 months (those are the records I have to hand) I?ve spent less than ?40 on clothes for myself, and that includes underwear and dry-cleaning my wedding dress. That?s ?the? dress I wear to weddings. You?ll see it in Feb ;-) You know, thinking about it, my MIL has probably spent more on my clothes than me that in that time, what with birthday and Christmas presents. She has more dress sense than me. I guess that?s a bit odd too.

2. I?ve never experienced a time when I doubted that I would want children, or that family would be my primary interest/purpose in life. One of my biggest fears, even as a child/teenager, was of being childless. Maybe that?s not so weird. I don?t know.

3. I hate the sea-side. Specifically warm seas. Travelling down the Gold Coast, I tried to avoid the water at all costs. Typically the one time I was actually persuaded in (and only up to my calves, purely for diary purposes) I was stung by a jellyfish. I hate the sea. It hates me. Don?t have such an aversion to cold seas, but equally can?t see the attraction myself.

4. Dipping my toe in sun-drenched waters might freak me out, but I?m not at all phased by flying down the side of a mountain with two planks of wood strapped to my feet (or alternatively, taking the non-conventional route down). This is quite lucky as I prefer cold weather to hot anyway. The only sports I?ve ever excelled in have been winter sports.

5. I don?t like cream, but I do like lemon on my potatoes.

6. I don?t blog. (Or replace that with ?I home ed? for more general readership.)

I've really enjoyed reading all of these on other blogs, and all the cross-linking has been great for finding all those blogs I still have old bookmarks for and keep forgetting to update! Thanks, everyone :)
