I was really stunned by the attempt at wonderful though. we haven’t really done anything much with writing, as she has been reluctant, and so here she is.

It is so exciting to see children making the language work for them – much better than an over-pre-occupation with what is correct. Have you ever read ‘GNYS at wrk: a child learns to write and read’ by Glenda Bissex? It is an all-time favourite of mine – in fact I think SB has just inspired me to a blog post.
