Although we have followed a ‘sort of phonics approach’, we haven’t in the end made big thing about the blends etc. Mostly in the end a lot of it came from doing Explode the Code, odd bits of reading earlier. So she just tends to sound out the individual letter sounds irrelvant as to who they wil be in the word, and then just comes out with the word (pretty often correctly)
