When we had our kitchen fitted, the fitters were saying how they put a top notch kitchen in one house and then said to the owner when finishing, “You’ll be cooking lots of great meals in here” and she responded “oh no, I won’t cook in here, I’ve got my other kitchen to cook in” And she did have a separate kitchen to do the cooking in and this new one was her “show” kitchen!

More money than sense.

we use the utility to lob stuff into when people come round that we want to impress. So the kitchen looks tidy but don’t you dare open the utility room door! People know we’ve relaxed with them when they can’t see the worksurfaces.
