had enough rain here also. my book has some nice stream experiments. at this rate will be able to do them in the garden!

rain rain rain… ‘Can we go to the lake?’ says Shark. ‘No’ says Grit. ‘Why not?’ says Shark. ‘Because there is a lake outside the front door.’

Out come books on water. ‘Let’s learn about water instead’ says Grit in Home ed = Book mode. ‘No’ says Shark. ‘Why not?’ says Grit. ‘I want to learn about water at the lake’ says Shark. ‘You cannot go to the lake’ says Grit. ‘Why not?’ says Shark.

Repeat conversation ad nauseum. Either we will end up going to the lake or I will crack under the strain of rain-induced depression.
