I buy all my meat and veg' from local farm shop. So much nicer, sometimes cheaper and much more interesting to have to live by season growth rather everything always to hand.

I tried to by skinny sausages this morning at the farm but they only make them on Thursdays so I had to find something else. We got pork ribs.

Sound idilic where you are- I really must visit!

yes, it's always nicer to have seasonally fresh stuff not picked a wek too early so it could "ripen" in transit. There are 2 fantastic farm shops close by here, I don't use them as much as I ought really because, of course, it's just so much easier to grab a few bags of sad offering when I do hte rest of hte weekly shop. Must try harder.

completely agree. I refuse to buy strawberries at any other time for the same reason. I need to investigate the farm shope round here more, although I suspect we'll have less choice than you all. I love where you live!
