I also have a violin, although I haven’t played it since I was about 10 and made the sensible switch to wind.

any of the youth hostel holidays would make a great venue for a one day workshop. Just send music to people a couple of months before, then do a day workshop. Anyone that can’t play anything or read music can do purcussion, or sing, or clap.

Oh, and some will have to do the harmony – unless Sarah will on accordian, and various other musical parents on their guitar and recorder collections!

I so want to play the violin, when I think that I had no opportunities for it when I was little I feel so hard done by. Had bloody bass recorder at primary and was ignored at Secondary so got to do nothing. I loved music.
