We all wish we did more, different or better things with our kids. I wish I could let the kids bake as often as you let your girls, especially as Hazel always wants to–but I have to have complete order to do that, no distractions (HA!) and a clean kitchen before I start–so as you can imagine, it doesn’t get done often! I find outings so much easier!
I think what makes a happy childhood is knowing you are loved, and that your parents want to be with you every second they can manage. And a bit more sunshine would make us all a bit cheerier–I always loved the sun, just didn’t realize how much I needed it till I got here!

Anyroad, my mother says our father was never there for us as he was working but I remember the things he did with us and not a single thing my mother did with us.

Of course, that doesn’t stop the adults taking piccies too – but I thought it would be interesting to see what the kids decide is worth taking a picture of at different times of the year.

I’m sure the girls know you are there for them, I suppose it’s just a different dynamic than many families with Chris beign the one at home and you being the bread winner.

We meet at some wood/river/outside place midway between us bimonthly and the kids run about and absorb the changing seasons, taking pictures and after a year we use the pictures taken to make a collage. What do you think?
