I always feel I ought to use my vote but have almost never voted for a main party. I did vote libdem once when we I lived in a Con/Libdem marginal, but it didn’t make any difference.

I’m finding it hard – born and bred a socialist, and have always, always voted labour. But er, I don’t think they ARE socialist any more, so that’s a non starter. But the thought of ever voting Tory just makes me heave.

we only got the conservative chap here last time, and what a blithering idiot he was too.

libdem at least are campaigning against things like id cards – even if they aren’t in power I think they are making a difference.

Ever since Thatcher/Kinnock/Ashdown days when politics was entertaining and people spoke with conviction, and maintained their position, I’ve felt disillusioned with politics and think that all politicians are the same (and I worked for one for a while). Party policy seems to be that you just oppose whatever the party in power says, no matter how sensible it is.

Marcus makes me vote because he believes apathy about politics is wrong and that we should take an interest in whoever is running our country. I vote for whoever knocks on my door to try and sell themselves and their party. It’s only the Lib Dems who bother.

I have always come out lib dem. thing is, I think at the mo they are a fairly pointless party. I have voted for them for years pointlessly!
