Phew!

The mm's and lovelys and companion bits are the easy bits! It's the hands on stuff that's the tiring bits and you definitely do a whole lot more of that than we do. And I think it's the hands on stuff that kids remember. They don't remember the always being there and the loving so much as the "remember when Mum made cookies with us, crafted, did that science kit etc" . I'm sure I've commented here (probably about a year ago!) that my mum reckons our dad was never around but I remember him flying kites with me, taking us swimming and biking, taking us to an ice cream parlour, all sorts of stuff. I remember my mum throwing the Great Game of Britain into the bin as she as fed up with always being sent the theSheep Dog trials in Perth. Which logically means she must have played the game with me but all I remember is the binning episode.

michelle, it wasn't your blg that sparked the paragraph. i haven't felt part of a vendetta, instead that i am lucky to have such lovely people that I know - including you - that are willing to listen to my wibbling, gently rubbish it and be friends.
And I still don't believe your blog btw, I think you are missing out all the 5 seconds mms and lovelys and just being loved and loving companions

I wasn't wanting to make you feel as if a personal vendetta was started against you! I was wanting to show you that you do a lot more hands on stuff than I do - crafting, baking, reading, music (violin and piano), G&D, Maths and so on.

In a weekend you do more with your girls than I do with Chloe in half month.
