Esp the joys of cafes in ready supply. We are hoping/planning to go to Scotland (we are v. envious of your trip – midges and weather aside!) in October and hope the midge population has been knocked down by the cold, cold nights by then.

Pill swallowing – surround pill with jam and swallow with milk – not water – C was able to do from 4yo as I can’t bear syrups (always a sticky mess!). But C has always been a determined madam and won’t be defeated by anything, especially not a mere tablet!

My aunt said my grandad used to crush his pills and ate them mixed in with the jam but I remember reading somewhere once that some pills are designed to be delayed stage for best effectiveness so not knowing what the pill components are, make her swallow the lot.
