Hi Tim, the copy of the book is actually the one my wife used when she was a child

But the title is actually Jibbidy F and A C E.

Hi.

Only arrived at your blog because I Googled for “GBDF and ACE” which was a beginners’ piano course that my sister’s teacher used back in the late 1970s! 20 years later, my sister ended up graduating from the RNCM, so it can’t have been a bad way to start – and now that my own kids are old enough to start piano I am keen to find the book.

Can you give me a clue as to where you bought it – if indeed we are talking about the same thing?

I am also very rusty, so I’m pleased you are too! I think is just like riding a bike though, it just suddenly comes back.

Have also finished our secret santa thingies, and almost finished scarletts b-day present, though I have a feeling that might be it done, and almost finished it will stay!!

btw, SB was pleased with the exam, and teacher said she had obviously done a lot of practice before hand, so she went in with a glow of confidence!

Missed the ballet drama, but was this the teacher saying she not good enough for exam? Ours used to do that and I kicked up a fuss. If the school doesn’t get high enough points then they have issues with being able to submit for exams in the future. But you’re paying so they should be teaching and giving extra time. Mine both have private lessons in the run up to exams (Boo just wnats them Pea REALLY needs them), Pea has grade 5 exam tomorrow. If it’s RAD ballet you can buy the syllabus on DVD from the RAD shop online. Greatest thing I discovered!

Unrelated but just saw your old bk message about BB breaking her SF bus – Flair will sell you whatever spare parts you need. I bought a replacement roof for the caravan and it was a fiver iirc and they were very helpful.

- hmmmm, have just been looking and can’t find any useful mention of spare parts online, but try giving them a ring.
