All your posts about how you hope you are doing your best for the girls will speak volumes of your love! All the records of the wonderful day-trips, cuddles, story times, walks and holidays will remind them of all the fun you had together.

Maybe put a memory book together for Viv’s children? Include stories of Viv’s childhood, trips she took pre-children, her favourite songs and films? They’ll enjoy those in the future. Include things like where you lived as children–I love that my dad kept a record of all his homes, and he kept a front door key of all his homes! Kieran plays with them all the time! :) That’s all I have of his, and a little cross his dad gave him the day my dad immigrated to America. Not much–but I treasure them greatly!

And in a family that really doesn’t talk about her, sometimes even now I wish I had something.

I hope if anything ever happened to me, the children would have it as a memento of how much I love them and how proud I am of them when they are fantastic, as well as all the mundane life stuff. I don’t think you need to gush for that, necessarily – it comes through in the humdrum as well :)

And having said all that, I know that you and the rest of Viv’s family will make totally sure her children will know full well that they were loved so much.
