I wish you could believe how much more you did with your kids than I do with mine.

I wish you would always see those things so that when you look back you will remember it joyfully and not feel a failure, when that is so very far from what you are.

I wish I could magic you something which helped you to see that you see your parenting giving time in the same way you see exams; that you work hard, then fret you haven’t done enough, then come top and still wonder where those extra three marks went.

SB is right you know, you’d do well to always listen to her :)
