I have been meaning to read this and just never obtained a chance. Its an issue that Im really interested in, I just started reading and Im glad I did. Youre a fantastic blogger, one of the best that Ive seen. This weblog undoubtedly has some facts on topic that I just wasnt aware of. Thanks for bringing this stuff to light.

I in addition to my guys were found to be examining the great points found on the blog and so then I got a horrible feeling I had not thanked the web site owner for those techniques. All the women appeared to be for that reason glad to study all of them and have now certainly been taking advantage of those things. Appreciate your truly being so accommodating and for getting this kind of outstanding subject matter most people are really eager to understand about. Especially as fewer and fewer people are ahead of us treading the path as our children get older! So many end up at school, I think it is far lonelier and more isolating HEing at secondary level than at primary.

lol! i wish to the all sorted, but I have a start of the pathway of the plan, and like perhaps yours, these are things that are going to be useful. and the start of the pathway of the plan is a good plan i think, as allows consideration along the way as to whether other paths look better, but gives a heading to start off! thinking geog and biol as ones that are mostly fact and seeing what the question is asking, rather than in depth personal thought and critique! she partic wants the music, as i might have stuck with partical and theory exams through assoc board as easier to arrange. but i think those 3 will keep us busy and the other things we do will be as we do them now, rather than ‘in exam mode’ . so hoping that the exam skills tedium is leavened!

Sounds like you’ve got it all sorted! P did first IGCSE at 13 (year 8) and was a bit too young (English lang which covered analysis of a text) but managed to get a comfortable C. Then she did geography at end of year 9 – did much better with a good A. This year she’s taking biology and then three more over the final year – maths, chemistry and history. We’ve decided not to even think of L taking any until he’s fourteen at end of year nine. But we’ll play it all by ear depending on if he’s decided on a path beyond sixteen. I’d happily avoid the whole blooming business if he has a path in mind that doesn’t need them. The specifications are often a bit boring and the practising of exam skills is tedious too. Ho hum.

lol! i refuse to believe that you are doomed, as i am always in awe of your HE provision!!! my plan is more of the same this year btw then next year to start with some gcse thinking with geog, biol, music to see how the language of the courses and getting into the thinking structure [she partic would like to choose music, i predict perhaps a prob with sitting it somewhere], and if the price isn’t to astronomical, and we can organise it, consider a first foray practice practice at 14 to see what it is all about, and between then and now, grad turn other things she is interested in doing more of to igcse coursework and spread these out in 15 summer, 15 nov and 16 summer and get hopefully a minimum of 7 . if other more exciting things came along, or things like open university floated a boat – perhaps partic for language etc to readjust. the first foray practice at 14 isn’t a given, just something to consider, as it may either reassure us we can do this, or if it doesn’t. we would have time to make it someone elses responsibility
