Clinic day

BB 18lb 8oz, so now only on the 99.9th centile – phew what a relief!

Finally given in and bought some scales for home waitwotchering. Slightly depressing reading! Just 7kg over the weight I put on insurance forms, so need to lose that in the 3 weeks before medical. Will power required!
This BMI site suggests that I aim for 81kg as my goal rather than some unrealistic figure, so that is what I am going to do ultimately, but some weight loss goals in interim – 7kg for ASAP, then 16kg to become overweight rather than obese.

Spent today chasing quotes for new house insurance – come out at about 100pm for just buildings. ony 80 more than current house then. Also chasing up date of aforementioned medical. chris somewhat peeved that my phonecalls to insurers quick and concise, yet they always asked him oodles more questions and then got cut off. I think it is his dodgy sarf london accent!

Going to pick up SB from nursery soon [after cup of tea] House is just SO quiet on a monday!! She will be excited by scales, so i predict a bit of comparitive maths will occur.

  1. I’m afraid my scales were chucked out of the house within months of my thyroid coming out. Even at my nice endocronologist, I won’t let him tell me what I weight now, just the movement.. Apparently last week I slide into the overweight category, which is actually feeling quite skinny atm, but it felt like a big achievement. This medically supervised controlled carb/high protien is certainly helping with the PCOS, but it is very wearing. It’s only sustainable as I actually feel better in myself than I have for years, and I came off it at Melrose and the week after, and felt really rough.

  2. i’ve never owned any before, but cheap than ww, and useful for SB.
i had to hit overweight before i got treatment for pcos to achieve BB. it felt really great. so well done!
as a veggir, i found the low carb high protein diet a but impossible, but had success wtith WW points. not v quickly, though loss was much greater when given metformin [as part of fertilty treatment]. cant have this and bf though.

  3. Have you tried BMA services for insurance? They’re very helpful, and you get straight through to a person, not a machine, and they’re pretty competitive

  4. yeah, thetre now part of med sickness soc = weslyan. v quick phonecall which made chris partic green! the most expensive quote though!

  5. tbh, their quote for house insurance wasn’t that good, but our cars are insured through them

  6. pssssst! I’m doing the weightwotchering at home too;-)
