I love them all, but have to say my first love will be my favourite. I first played this at the county string orchestra -? was i about 11? Anyway, this is number 3. I can still play a fair wack of it without music! tell me when we have enough home-edders to do this? I suppose number 2 a close favourite, and with our current recorders, violins and continuo set up [Jade had better keep up with cello!!] mix, could be the one for the future [sort of!]. for the other movts, can we find a trumpet? Actually, maybe number 5… did i say i love all 6??
And feel free to join in on the music meme – Sarah and Jax have. doesn’t have to be classical, doesn’t have to have a theme, just what you are liking, thinking about, singing now.

I won’t set her that particular challenge just yet, I don’t think. It might scare her off!
I like these too. So would Anna. I really must get some more classical stuff on CD for her to listen to but if I’m honest I don’t really know where to start. Off to write my MM post myself, decided yesterday what it would be if I can find any on Youtube!
the problem is finding on utube
i have a cheap naxos recording. i do prefer it on period instruments, cos i love the altered timbre of the trumpets mainly!
i have to say, we have done alot of clicking on links from one utube to another, and me and the girls have really enjoyed that [there has been a bit of arguing as to who gets to click on the link...]
Have played no.2 lots of times, love no 4, especially the allegro.
I wouldn’t be able to find the majority of music that has had the biggest influence on me on youtube! don’t tend to find performances of avant garde recorder music!
If anyone ever fancies a play of some of this, or any other baroque/renaissance or before music I’m always up for it
me, me, me, ME!!!!!
i am going fairly at random, but have to say that my love is spread far and wide, so mostly can find clips somewhere – though the korean clips for the jan garbarek were a bit exotic!
well name your time, and we’ll think of some music – acquire it, and then play it! I haven’t played any proper music for ages. Would be lovely to.
well, googling for recorder and violin, this came up
http://www.hyperion-records.co.uk/details/55108.asp
telemann should suit?
hmm, looking for the trio sheet music – unless anyone else wants to join in?

possibly the same thing and adaptable?

Ooo Telemann trio sonatas would be perfect.
OK – two Telemann trio sonatas are ordered
C Minor and F Major. I have no idea without going to find sound clips of them what they sound like mind you. Should be pretty safe with Telemann though.
I have a ton of recorder music here, I’ll have a look through to see if any is suitable for being a violin part without being too boring.
I haven’t bought music for years, its a good feeling
obviously I went off looking before I clicked your links! Which also look good…..*sits on credit card*
so now we need to meet up!
