Fed up.

Kids had a fun time at a Roman Workshop this afternoon, back home awaiting arrival of Helen so we can head off up to the Babs for the weekend.

But mostly I’m being fed up with mess and chaos around the place, with the way it seems to get messy a millions times quicker than it can get tidied away, with it seeming to suck up much of my time and energy without actually seeming to get better  - tidy one room and it seems to sidle off and just pop up elsewhere, with feeling that it’s ages since I did much fun stuff with the girls at home. With it taking 3 times as long to find or do things and then getting grumpy withg the girls.

Oh, grumpy, grumps :-(

  1. so know what you mean, I’m equally fed up for much the same reasons – feels completely compounded by having work and school in the equation as well but I guess however much available time you have the issues can always feel the same. Hope you have a lovely weekend and come home feeling less fed up.

  2. All I can say is, ME TOO!

  3. oh and me.

(hi, I came over from reflections in the greenhouse. we have five children, three of school age and above, and have been officially homeschooling since september of this year – the eldest two therefore did ‘do’ some school)

  4. Yeah, I keep thinking that if I had a week or two at home with no children I could get to a reasonable level of organisation, but that’s never going to happen, I guess.

  5. I have been mentioning recently that Marcus and Chloe should probably think about another trip to visit his mum for exactly this reason.

  6. Oh, but this has amazing cheering-up powers!
(Posting the link here because it’s in French and I thought the Bean girls might like it :) )

  7. I have this theory that when I fit things in a cupboard in one room, they leak out through a worm hole into another. Because it doesn’t matter where I put their toys, they always seem to be everywhere……!

  8. Have the same problem here too. Only happened since our move, our previous house(s) seemed to stay reasonably tidy. Elle

  9. thanks everyone. we just need a magic wand or loads of hours!
