getting back to normal?

this week hasn’t been really very getting back to normal. dh and I are in a bit of a race against time to complete at least some of the diy to then normalise the house before SB and then FrB come . we are really looking forward to them coming tho! Our house is victorian and in some need of renovation, rejuvenation and then just painting nicely and most of the time we just don’t ‘see’ it, but having people coming makes me notice all the things that at some point we need to address. panic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sure that the exchange is about more than house perfection! But… the french family house is so beautiful, so pristine.

Anyway, this week BB has been cracking on with her home ed things. bit of a disaster that DH didn’t renew conquer maths so couldn’t log in. i have asked him to sort out, but it has been a maths free week. need to get accounts for frb and sb as well anyway. otherwise she has got her glock out and started playing that again, decided her music theory book too easy and wants to try the grade 1 book – panic! Most evening groups have started again as well. She has also done loads of minecrafting and lego, playing with her schleich animals and generally being BB . we have also played lots of board games together.

weds we had friends around to play and craft, which was lovely . filling house with laughter of friends and general chatter always fab. They made books – bb about snakes and reptiles, played board game and minecrafted. We adults did some baking, chatting and planning.
