Fastr, Fastr, more Flickr timewasting

From the Flickr Blog, it’s Fastr a game where you have to guess the tag of a group of pictures before others do.

I’m not sure which is worse.

That some people would take it seriously enough to be interested in buying/investing in the program or that some people offered to appear on the purported show?

Making a baby, making Mischief (scroll down)

What is sad is that it doesn’t actually seem that surprising a suggestion anymore.

sorry chris

‘I don’t think we will do anymore cooking for a while…’

The title is a quote from Helen just overheard from the kitchen – said in that quietly despairing tone…..

Helen is in the kichen making Lemon Curd (no Limes) with Stringbean, all is not going smoothly…..

Despite being told to be very careful, SB lost a load of the carefully measured Lemon juice when she just tipped up the bowl. She was sent into the playroom while Helen cleared up, worked out how much more was needed etc. SB of course then sulked for bit and didn’t want to carry on.

Harmony was restored, but then SB has just spilt some of the sugar on the floor….

Helen is staying calm though….

hnmmm, so which one did I get wrong? thanks Jax

Your Brain’s Pattern

Your mind is a firestorm – full of intensity and drama.
Your thoughts may seem scattered to you most of the time…
But they often seem strong and passionate to those around you.
You are a natural influencer. The thoughts you share are very powerful and persuading.

This post brought to you by our sponsors…

This year Christmas at the Beans was proudly sponsored by Freecycle Cambridge, purveyors of fine, free used cookers to those whose dining rooms are bigger than their oven capacity. One up for the Cosmic Supply Company I guess.

I guess we would have managed without it, but it would have been a pain, and it’d have taken 2 hours or more to have cooked the 3 trays of roasties, parsnips etc. let alone anything else. Actually the oven is better than our ‘proper’ one, being a electric fan oven as opposed to a ‘hot at the top warm at the bottom’ gas one. So we will be keeping it, for now anyway. so i’m glad I wired it in properly, rather than bodged it :-)

Normal service resumed tomorrow hopefully when the remaining hardcore xmas-teers departs and we try to avoid tidying up.

And what Christmas figure am I?

Well snap :-)

Helen says this is why we are so compatible ;-)

We will obviously be the perfect Christmas hosts……..

You are one magnificent person! You are the night
of Christmas. You are a beautiful, good-hearted
person who enjoys the best for others. You are
probably very sentimental as well. You don’t
believe in material objects for making you
happy, but in things more important. You truly
live out the spirit and meaning of this
holiday. Being around the ones you care about
most is enough to make you content. The thing
is that most people may either really love or
unfortunately hate you for your beautiful
nature. Merry Christmas =)

the 7 things, as requested by Heather

Well, why not. I tried to do it fairly quickly so that it is off the cuff rather than deeply studied – as that way I don’t have to go aarrghh whenever soemone says something I think I should have put in.
It actually reminded me [not that i need much reminding] about how lucky I am in my life.

7 things to do before I die
