We are as much as possible. Other than stuff which I have sorted/ packed in the garage/loft etc. we are getting the removal company to pack all the house contents as well as move them. Scince the move is going to cost various arms and legs (?2700ish - arrgh!) the extra ?150 or so seems worth it.

hurrah at last
Only moved three times - and two of those were between the same two house so no expert advise here
Just to ensure you know where the ‘essentials’ are and unpack the rest as and when you get time / energy.
I packed everything in a really organised manner from Manchester to come back here - or so I thought. But when removal men started coming into the house in the pouring rain trailing puddles and mud with boxes marked ‘dining room’ when we didn’t actually have one in the new house it all seemed to fall apart!
We slept at my parents house for the first three nights which took some of the pressure off of getting the house ready for habitation quite so quickly and for probably the first and only time ever they were great about having the kids all day so me and Ady could get everything unpacked and found a home for before we brought the kids back to create further chaos.
The worst thing was moving from a larger house to a smaller one and trying to fit everything back in again - which IIRC is not going to be a problem for you.

Great news! We’ve moved 3 times in the past few years - I’m not sure what I hate most packing or unpacking! Hope it all goes well though. Good luck!
