The Big One…[was cry me a river]

SB had a great time at nursery today, and a wonderful party, it was an indoors teddy bear picnic due to the rain. they played games, sang songs and ate party food. she even got a couple of presents.

I cant quite believe we’re not going back. I gave then SB at 6 months and hoped for the best. In the last 3.5 years she has been loved and cherished there, and allowed to grow and develop. They aim to nurture through play, and thats certianly our experience. We saw her first [Maria] and last [Mandy] keyworkers when we went to pick her up, and they were both genuinely sad to be saying goodbye. I cried all over the place. In time SB wont remember nursery except through pictures and stories, but I am glad that they will be of love and fun. Thankyou kids academy for the care you have taken. I have really appreciated it, and feel i has helped shape SB into the confident girl she is.

  1. hurrah for kids academy :-) and one step further along the adventure of your new life (which is a Good Thing!) (((Helen)))) for your tears xx

  2. Don’t even get me started on leaving nursery. It has been part of our lives for the past 13 years as i worked there. i sobbed when I left, when Pea left, when Boo left and as Buzz is our last this summer, I know I’ll be a nightmare!

Pride yourself on making a great nursery choice and yay here comes the new life!!! :-)

  3. and various ‘Ahhh’ moments, suhch a sone of the other girls there, when she left nursey wanted to get SB a present, so got alittle present in the next door ASDA, came back but we had already gone :-( She was so upset and inconsoleable that her mum rang up and they came round to give it to SB. I do ownder what they make/think of such things at such an age. SB did have couple of times a couple of months back when she got really upset when she realised that she probably wouldn’t see any of her friends from here again. But now, in that matter of fact 4 year old way she doesn’t seem at all concerned.
