I should really be blogging about today and Kirsty’s arrival etc. But I’m going to bed. (in short, we had nice morning, library, sun etc. K and gang arrived, ran around outside and in, with LOTS of screaming, children did not all manage to get to sleep in the same room were moslty still on the go at 10.30. Only one glass of Archers Aqua stuff (odd stuff, bit like peachy, alochoklic lemonade…) was consumed, obviously pacing herself – she’s got two bottles
So I leave you with the latest quiz from the BBC, this one on Physics.
Luckily, to save on any embarassment for me I did get 10/10, though I had a wobble on one question when I had bit of mental blank.
waaah, I’m very embarrassed. Too embarrassed to say what my actual score was! I did manage to get one but I’d like to suggest it was only because of probability of hitting the right answer a few times given ten multiple choice questions!
Missed the maths one though, that’s annoying.
Have a good day today
Well some were fairly hard…..
The maths one is still there:

Did the maths one first – thankfully got 20/20
Only 7 on the physics – got all the wave ones wrong! Have clearly blanked all that from my mind
I got the last two wrong and another couple were lucky guesses……
I’m not even going to try Looking forward to the English one on Saturday although its on quite late I think.
Maths – could have worked them all out if I’d been bothered, but made a couple of mistakes guessing Still blushing furiously about my physics one though, I scored less than Alison, and that’s as much as I’m saying.
Well considering i did one year of physics as a third year, 4/10 probably isn’t bad. I only knew gamma rays cos of a research project my mum did though and only knew the order of theplanets because i’ve just tested Fran for her Stargazer badge and she told me! (VCould have guess though )
I got a couple of maths ones wrong, but throuhg lack of attnetion/laziness really (‘Read the question….’) One I forgot to pick the answer witht he right units, and the other was another similar sily mistake.
oh, ask Kirsty to please pretty please stay over Friday night at Ros’s, because then we’ll hopefully be able to see her on Friday evening!
5/10 – doesn’t surprise me at all.
9 out of 10 – didn’t get the smoke dector one – quite pleased!!
obviously speeling not a forte!
aaarrghhhh
(Kirsty disguised as Helen!) 6 out of 10 which I thought was pretty good since I never took Physics!
Alison, yes we should be staying, looking forward to it!
3 out of 10. Never did understand physics.
not even daring to touch the quiz….
Well don’t put me in charge of wiring the plugs – I can’t *believe* I got that one wrong! Obviously living with Chris has undone all my dad’s good work. And I got the smoke detector wrong too.
Chris, when did you do the maths one? If you did it too early, it might not have been you making the silly slips – there were two dodgy questions initially that got changed.
I was relieved to get plug one right, but fell for obvious wrong answer for smoke detector! infra red – doh, its not after heat!!
