luckilly my parents here

Chris been in bed with manflu 2 days now.
We had no clean clothes, as manflu last week meant no washing done, so I have done 5 loads today. Mum has washed up for england. Dad is decorating the littlebeans bedroom.
The beans are semi-feral – though BB has nasty conjunctivitis.
My arm is killing me, however, I have a cold rather than manflu.

Grumble grumble grumble…….

  1. recovering case of manflu here and a raging new one of boyflu (which is possibly even worse actually!)

LOL at semi-feral little beans and hurrah about the bedroom redecoration. Have also done 5 loads of washing today.

  2. Maybe manflu could be cleared up faster with regular doses of some extremely nasty tasting medicine… can you still get Beecham’s Powders ;)

Good to hear you have the cavalry to come to the rescue though, have lots of rest chuck!

  3. ah. wONDER IF THAT IS WHAT IS UP WITH PEOPLES EYES HERE ;(

    Oh bugger to caps

  4. Back – it is a rotten cold, more green slime than frankly reasonable. I’ve still got a sore ear too, though not on 3 sorts of painkillers anymore.

Thinking of you all – has the broken arm taken on any form silverl ining yet or too soon?

  5. It coukd be has horrible as you like Katy – nothing seems to be shifting it, if it did I’d be more than happy I spent most of the day in bed in weird sort of not quite asleep all the time, but not quite awake mode either. I was sick twice the morning with drinks and now there is some odd spatial perception thing going on as well. I look at the keyboard keys, but my fingers seem to go somewhere else, unless I type slowly.

I am supposed ti helpinh FIL with decorating, but I’m really not up to it at th emoment.

I’m just totally fed up with the cough thepainful chest, difficulty breathing etc. , the dry mouth /dehydration (block nose)I just wasnt to go to sleep and wake up and it be gone. But it keeps disappointing me.

  6. *hugs* sounds awful!! James has just been signed off from work for 2 weeks as his back is bad :( Not sure if that’s worse than manflu or not ;)

  7. sounds as though you have every right to grumble :( Hope you all feel much better soon.

  8. Did you get your sicknote sorted out Helen?

Chris, sounds dreadful, hope you feel better soon.

  9. Chris, you have all my sympathies. I feel horrendous too. Was trying to decide earlier which bit of me didn’t hurt, and decided it was only my toes. Haven’t got the spatial thing but my eyes are very weird this evening.

  10. Sounds horrible for you all (including those commenting!). We are all well here but dryer gone cold today so loads of washing spread all around the house! Hope you (Chris and Helen) recover from your various ailments soon. I hope you got that sick note in quick Helen! xxx

  11. Ady reports he is also doing the odd eye thing too :-(

  12. hugs to all others. I am trying to keep shred of sympathy for chris, but not good at it for this long a time frame, partucularly when *I* want some spoiling!!

  13. I’ve trumped manflu, anyway. I’ve got pneumonia. And Joanna – my pelvic floor is one to be proud of, but even it has given it up as an uneven battle :-(

  14. JOyce :( SOB for you as well :(

  15. how dreadful joyce. sent chris to gp to confirm not pneumonia.
sending you wellness thoughts [but imagining antibiotics more effective]
