Helen couldn’t get to sleep anyway and had gone off to another room.
BB woke up at about 4.30 ish and was not happy – she screams (it’s not just a cry), she tries to scratch/grab you, she hits herself on the head face with her hands – even scratches herself sometimes. She did eventaully fall asleep again, but it tends not to be deep sleep and the smallest thing can wake her again.
By about 5.10, and a couple of wakings I was getting ready to give up when Helen appeared anyway as she had had enough of listening to BB. Of course a feed and BB was asleep, the rest of us, including SB who was woken by the crying didn’t ever really get back to sleep before the alarm at 6.45. 
Hope Helen’s day at work isn’t too bad.

Yeek! ‘Tis truly awful – I remember well. I hope things improve soon. One day it will all be just a memory. We even laugh about the most hideous sleepless times now, but at the time I remember a lot of crying on all our parts… Hope you all get some decent sleep tonight.
Hope it’s been OK today Helen. IKWYM about the early morning light-sleeping thing and then they fall asleep and leave the rest of you awake…. I am back to feeding Isabelle every 2 hours approx. at night ….. seem to have lapsed there somewhere. Will have to get a grip shortly.
We never had quite the same problem with SB. She was still a poor sleeper at this age, but would often be happy with cuddle, and if she wanted a feed would have one and then just go to sleep, and was happy with abottle as well.
SB only really takes bottles on sufference even after all this time, and when she is upset just refuses. and while we may think she doesn’t need a feed, she certainly thinks she does and screams and crys endlessly. and if she sees Helen will fight madly to get to her sometimes, even if she has had afeed 30 minutes before hand
