mmm. gordon ramsey! I am back home – with great relief, as not the best time away, and potentially financially disastrous due to a coffee accident…
Anyway, went to a restaurant called Bank in Birmingham [never been to birmingham properly before, and I loved it!] and you could see the kitchen and them working in it. As I commented at the time, i could have done with GR effing about.
At least I can watch him on TV!
I went to university in Birmingham and went back and worked there for a while a couple of years ago. it is a lovely city.
If you go again Jools Holland’s The Jam House on St Paul’s Square is worth a visit, I used to go there for lunch from work.
Having worked with him for a client once, I think he’s an egotistical nightmare. Real prima donna personality who thinks he’s God’s gift and all that.
Do we get an explanation re: the coffee incident?
i think that’s why i wanted him in the kitchen!
I spilled coffee all over a fellow travellers expensive IT equipment [assorted!] and awaiting the bill as not insured/not wanting to claim on insurance as all my fault[it was]
Oh no! Hope it doesn’t come to too much.
Ah. I like to relax and enjoy my meal when I eat out.
Hope the damage won’t be too bad. Maybe it’ll dry out better than expected. Some places do a clean I think?
I’m awaiting moderation? Why???????
But the second one went through. Very odd. Perhaps I took too long a break in between writing and posting that first comment.
No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it every other comment I make that goes to moderation then?
Nope. I think I’ll retire now then.
I have no idea Michelle – wierd akismet. but you;re in now!!
I think it’s because you didn’t like Gordon.
Very likely
I love Birmingham too, wonderful city. Big Gord would have been entertaining definitely.
Really hope the IT eqpt won’t cost you too dear. That was bad luck.
