oh, and blogging for the LEA

I don’t think so! I might agree that these pages may help us write a report if we are minded to do so, I don’t intend to point to the blog either. LINK

anyway, grump grump privacy, grump grump commenting anonymously, grump grump at tone and because I can!

  1. I think I’ve got this right in thinking that you think the anon comment about blogging for the LEA was off the mark?

On the matter of blogging what one does, I don’t see that there is any problem with it, as long as all concerned are happy, of course. My problem comes with enforced scrutiny, and enforceable judgements which may involve life altering decisions. Then we have something that could be very damaging to the learning process….(LAs take note of this bit!) :)

  2. grump here too. Besides, I’d challenge our LEA lady to find my blog what with it not being my real name…. I don’t blog for the LEA, I blog to remind me what we have done and to “gossip at the school gate”

  3. sorry carlotta for blogging on my blog rather than commenting on yours. yes. it was anon’s comment that made me grump. posted as leaving home – should have put a comment in your box too.
we aren’t known [yet] to LEA and If and when we are, i won’t be enclosing a blog address, as this isn’t aimed for them. I think blogging obviously isn’t compulsary!!
Although I think we can be fairly easily identified, our children’s names are still unrecorded on this blog. Our eldest child is well aware we blog, and wishes to do her own. When she suggests she wants editorial rights she will get them, but I give my children the same courtesy the rest of the family get on blog, so that she should hopefully never be embarrassed by what’s out there.

    ROFL Carlotta!

Hiya Helen – my sentiments exactly! (As I may have mentioned… in passing…!)

  5. you were FAR more eloquent than me though Gill – as usual!

  6. The blog is absolutely to help with LA report (for which I have been asked since it’s been a year since the last one). My memory is far too poor to remember what we do otherwise. The blog is the only record we have.

Obviously the blog is not evidence in itself and would not be submitted or referenced.

Have been toying with sending a letter I drafted ages ago saying that they need to have evidence that an education is not being provided before requiring me to write a report, but think I’ll capitulate and send a report as last year. I just don’t have the time and energy to have that sort of battle when I read somewhere about another family who pursued this line only to get quite a bit of aggro.
