he only fell off the ladder once – when he thought he had reached the bottom. Heart jumped into mouth as I thought he was going to crack head open on fishpond. Had thought we would need scaffolding, I might be right!

Make sure and remind him not to step back to admire his handiwork.
If he is not going to use scaffolding (which I think he should) then you (or someone) should stay home while he’s doing it.
Good progress though.
And maybe some padding on the pond surround edges?

we have discussed scaffolding. all the window frames are now cleared of old paint. there will alwyas be someone around. yes insured but life only and not wanting a payout
