   Well done! Splendiferous person you! I’m going to be happy with my 46

   I guessed detective for hawkshaw and got it right but I did deduce (ha ha) from the hawk bit rather than know it.

   I had kvetch which i’d never heard of and couldn’t guess – and that was a level 45 word. It means complain. It was such an odd word I wrote it down but have no idea how to pronounce.

   pronounced as written. A bit of latin, and some medical terminology helped me get there though, as I fulgarate things, if I’m unlucky they dehisce etc etc

   sounds like someone vomiting if pronounced as written. sounds better with a silent “k”

   welcome to the blog Layla. The first time I got to 48, and only tried again ‘cos Alison had got 50!! this time much easier due to a fortuitous run!

   It took me ages to get past 46, then I had a run of medical & gardening terms & some lucky guesses

   Was lovely to see you all
