phew! thought I’d lost it!

the blog went down today , in the evening, due to exceeding its bandwidth. We have therefore upgraded to more bandwidth! It must be all this extra blogging I have been doing, so we will see it drop when i go back to work. But v relieved to get it back :)

The house is very quiet as the little beans are at their grandparents for a sleepover. i very much miss them. Chris stayed there till nearly 4pm too!! SO I flickred, played with bunnies, did a bit of work email, and watched my anxiety levels shoot up! so played the piano -which desperately needs a tune!

Not that the girls got out v quickly. They had a v long bath, then put on a show for me [bare] singing their song ‘we’re dancing nayyykked in the nuuude’ … [spelling mistakes for search engines!] and the BB went to get dressed, having run about in slomo – she is such a funny girl!! SB and I did a really good piano prac together, the major scales, broken chords and the chromatic now nearly there, so i am planning to start the minor scales and broken cords. still not there with trudging, so we will just have to see when exam date comes. But she is practicing well, and her piano playing is much more secure :)

they finally dressed themselves as a witch princess and a knight and left the building. ho hum!! must make her a cloak for halloween now. :)

and this is our 2250 blog published!

  1. glad the blog is back :D

  2. am, intrigued, was the piano practise similarly nayyyked? ;)

  3. ah, no, she had brought down suitable attire in a knapsack, and thus was correctly apparelled

  4. There has been some crazy spam activity going on the past couple of weeks which could have been why you exceeded your bandwidth.

You could try installing the ‘Bad Behavior’ wordpress plugin and see if that makes any difference.

  5. thanks Kat, have passed on advice to my sys admin ;) , he is in charge of plugins etc, as this is/was his blog – ha ha ha!!! [6 years ago - nearly!]

  6. i do have a spam thingy running – akismet – as that picks up all that standard blog spam that otherwise fills peoples comments. might check for the invisible spam – we were hacked once, a couple of years back – so upgraded a number of things then. just checked for the invisible spam, and not there. so hopefully not that!

  7. This plugin runs before the blog software and stops them accessing the site altogether so will stop them using your bandwidth. It’s also compatible with Akismet which will still catch anything that gets through.

  8. have passed that onto the sysadmin too, thanks!
