I will do a christmas camp blog, but am going to start with a ranty waily blog to get it out of the way. My SB is a lovely, gentle, darling girl, who cares deeply about her family and friends and really should be a friday child for her loving and giving nature. It is so unfair that such a gentle soul should get so hurt . I wish I could protect her from all hurts, and feel a bit of a failure that I can’t.
My lovely girl was having fun with friends at the end of a week camp, and slipped over, landed on her face and shattered her 2 front [adult] teeth. V v painful, partic as one tooth shattered in 2 places. ALl I could do was hug her and assure her that at some point it would be fixed.
After lots of frantic phone calls we managed to get an appointment at a walk in dentists, and the lovely man there coated the pulp and then fluorided the teeth. He thinks one should be ok to build up in the future, but much less confident about the one that went through the nerve, so she may end up losing that tooth. sob for all her pain, and the worry.
So so sorry the week ended like that for SB and for you and for those of us around to witness it :(.
It will become one of those anecdotes she tells her grandchildren one day, the reason why she has such fabulous teeth and possibly why all secret santa gifts next year will be gum shields ;), but that doesn’t stop the hurt and sadness right now.
Much love to you all xxx
Very sorry. Hoping your dentist can reassure and fix her up as soon as possible.

*hugs* for you all. She does seem unlucky sometimes and it’s not fair at all.
she does and it makes me so sad.
I feel so bad for her!! Michael lost his just a bit older as a child, so we can sympathise with the pain and hardship and all the decisions to be made. It is most unfair!
Was it outside on snow/ice game or indoor on polished floor?
indoor on polished floor, bless her, she is just sooo accident prone, and we are always shouting ‘be careful’ and the like
