Teleportation.
In true Butterbean fashion, she toddled out into the hallway (I saw her from the kitchen sit down). a couple of minutes later I looked round and she’d fallen asleep? – latest in a line of? ‘I think I’ll just sleep here’ moments.
Not the most convenient of places, but me and SB have been working on a a teleportation device. Seems to work ok.

Just what BB needs
Everyday at Kessie BB got her wellies full of water from splashing through big puddles (why are kids wellies so short…?).
She really could do with some of these waders.
Actually Deep End Katy had some hanging up in their house that SB was rather taken with ‘ you could go and jump in REALLY deep puddles’ 
I think she’d like them as well….

It’s just a gadget….
The Apple iPhone has gone on sale in the US.
Some people queued for 3 1/2 days.
Some people’s brains seem to have become addled by the whole experience:
“Nothing matches this – it’s like going to a rock concert. As I went down the stairs in the store I was thinking ‘this is what Sting feels”
I’ve no idea if the iPhone is really any good, but that’s not really the point.
It just seems very sad that people respond in this way, when it probably won’t be long before there loads of the things about.

I ‘heart’ – old fogey moment.
Spotted in a comment on another blog earlier, but I notice it popping up here and there more often. What I mean of course is the:
I heart XXXX
kind of thing.
Now, using the heart symbol as shorthand to mean ‘love’, is fair enough. But then to write ‘heart’ instead of the symbol in it’s place, when you could just have written ‘love’.
Sorry, that’s plain silly.

To the reader, read.
Stringbean reads lots to us know, but mostly new books rather than old ones.
Last night she read one of the Percy the Park Keeper stories to me, i like these, they are nice gentle stories. Anyway, she was given the book with a? story tape of it by my parents. I guess when she was 3. It was one of her favorite bedtime stories for a while and I read it to her lots.
And now she is reading it back [wipes eyes].
And very fluently as well. Still bemused by how that seems to happen.
